Here is how John Kerry can become yet another world-leader
who wins his election primarily based on his opposition to Bush's policy in Iraq.

In election years, traditionally and statistically July 4th is when most Americans make up their minds about their choice for president before heading into summer vacation and
tuning out of politics until the November election. For that reason Wednesday, June 30 was arbitrarily chosen by Bush as the date when Iraq is handed over to an unknown, unprepared hand-picked Iraqi entity. It looks very much like Bush's plan to exploit Iraq politically will backfire, as Bush's political popularity is likely to drop at that time, in which case it will probably not recover before Sunday July 4th.

Now the trick will be for Senator Kerry to come up with a better plan to turn Iraq into an internationally supported and recognized democracy. If John Kerry articulates such a plan befor July 1st and convinces the American people
that it'll be better than Bush's plan, then he would
not merely get elected based on Bush's misfortune but
rather on Kerry's (and therefore the world's) probable
success with Iraq!

So I believe that while the 911 commission will neutralize 911 as an issue on which Bush could and would have run but can't anymore, no party can actually outright "win" politically based on 911 (unless you have a strong counter-terrorism running mate like US-Senator / FL-Governor /
Intelligence-Foreign-Relations-Armed-Services-Committee-Chairman Bob Graham of Florida on the presidential ticket) but I do believe that Kerry can win based on Iraq IF he
ARTICULATES a better plan for making it a success and
CONVINCES voters of that before Thursday July 1st!
