The Kill Bill movies are great- a wonderful pastiche. Osama, which just came out last Tuesday, is fantastic (set in Afghanistan) and as a companion piece I recommend Baran, which deals with a similar situation. I also liked In This World, and of course the new Charbol film- Flower of Evil- was excellent.
