Sonny--- I have IBM as a server. In years I have been disconnected twice-- I complained and was told a weather front did it, not them after they checked. When I set up the account and once since they have given me a local number to use. It caused a slowdown and one phone call with a question and another number was assigned. There is a real person to talk to 24 hours a day,, everyday. They keep track of any problems and will fix anything you have. The cost for unlimited service is 19.95 per month.

When my dialer connects it shows the BPS connection speed. If it connects under 20,000 BPS -- I Reconnect and will get a higher speed and does it fly. The only time I wait is when loading something from the net---- then it is THEIR server I wait for,,, NOT IBM's. I have had a few,, all the big names except AOL... and have found them to be the best. I also found years ago the online help may be worthless if you cannot get on line... You can call IBM toll free at 1 888 653 6546. The only two things I rave about are my DELL computer and the IBM connection.Best thing I did was match them up.
