I think TXN may have got caught with a double whammy last week -- causing it to over correct

the general dow correction

and Micron's downgrade due to DRAM prices and questions about the early transition to 64 MB -- along with investor misperception about TXN's exposure to DRAM and underestimating or TXN's DSP growth

Plus -- as someone else mentioned here before -- for a company
expected to post $12 billion in revenues, 191 m shares outstanding
is small. I think the relatively small number of shares
outstanding may contribute to the volitility.

That's my theory -- it certainly is a volitile stock -- but I'm
getting used to it.

Any other theories out there?
