RE>>Aside from those quotes you list,
what criteria do we use, as humans, to determine whether G-d <<

Apart from the revealed word of God we as humans
can know little about God.

In Athens in the day of Paul there was an idol erected to
"the unknown god" or better the "unknowable" god

Surely a god that is unknowable become greater in power and
character than the god that is knowable - so it is safe to presume
that this 'god' was likely greater than the others - so great
it was humanly impossible to know him.

This is what the apostle Paul had to say about that!!

Acts 17:23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions,
I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD.
Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.

The only 'god' that was unknown to them was the true and real one.

We - as Christians - know Him and plainly declare the truth about Him.

Only those elected unto eternal life will hear us.

John 10:26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep.

Men who are ordained to eternal life hear God's word and know
that it is from God and true.

Some will hear today - some may not hear until later.

Those who are not elected to eternal life will never hear.

John began his gospel with these words:

John 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him
was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 ¶ And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

The things of God are not determined by the mind of man.

In fact - even the bible is closed to many who read it.

Have you ever prayed to God for understanding and then read the bible?

Until you do - I can assure you - you will flounder in the dark.

The things of God are not determined by the mind of man.
