Hawk, what do you think of our bringing back an Iraqi general with some of the troops to resolve the standoff in Falluja?

I think one of the biggest mistakes made so far was disbanding the military. Also I suspect many more Baathist party civil service members could have helped serve Iraq's needs along with our interests.

Let the darn Sunni General and troops take care of their own in Sunni areas.

Hind sight is 20/20, I expect mistakes. But sometimes I think those with the most influence over our direction in Iraq are slow learners.

I just hope we are not avoiding some short term pain that will cost more long term.
