The atrocities committed in Iraq are similar to those committed in Vietnam that Kerry talked about. These Iraqi atrocities are wrong today as much as the atrocities in Vietnam. Kerry had the guts to criticize the Nam atrocities as a ordinary US citizen. I salute him for it. When Kerry did so, the moron right accused him of running down the soldier who fought hard and with honor in Vietnam. Now when Bush is criticizing the Iraqi atrocities, is how not dishonoring those who are fighting in Iraq? Think about it, if you can is what I ask the moron right.

Torture pictures horrify Arab world

SHOCKING photographs apparently showing British troops torturing an Iraqi detainee were published last night.

The disturbing images were set to increase the anger of the Arab world after the release of photographs showing United States troops carrying out acts of mock torture on war captives.

The Ministry of Defence last night launched an immediate investigation into the alleged incident, which was condemned as "shameful" by the Army’s most senior officer and Tony Blair, the Prime Minister.

The pictures, printed in the Mirror newspaper, show soldiers apparently beating the man - a suspected thief - with rifle butts and urinating on him.
