Iomega Hype

Bearish short term on this stock. Bullish long term. Sure Iomega is doing great on marketing and OEMs but the zip will become a commodity and the diskettes will be low margin.

The latest issue of MacWorld shows the MAC of the future. The LS-120 is the media drive and the Zip is relegated to an add-on. The LS-120 might be slower than a Zip but if you are just using it for storage speed does not matter. The LS-120 is also backwards compatible and uses less power than a ZIP drive. Hence it is better suited for notebooks.

Today the stock closed up at 16.625 I think. Not quite at 25 yet.
