<the people who knew your grandparents who were in the oil business in China about 100 years ago.>

Grandfather [one]. I have a hunch all those people, and their children, and some of their children, are dead.

Unlike the Jews who go back at least a couple of thousand years in terms of who owes who what [promised land and all that], or the IRA and Orange marchers who can go back to the potato famine and fighting in ancient history, or the Kosovars [or is it the Serbs] who recount glorious battles from about 600 years ago [which they lost - a bit like Kiwis like to resurrect the stupidity of being heavily defeated at Gallipoli], my institutional memory goes back not very far at all and the Winn conspiracy extends only to me and half the time I forget what I conspired with myself to do [or simply can't be bothered].

<Can't you lie any better than that?>

Do you believe that one? It sounds very credible to me. Incidentally, I vehemently deny that I am a Freemason, though I admit that my ex-BP colleague is one [just in case you accuse me].

PS: Okay, I admit it, it wasn't the Winn conspiracy as it was my grandfather on my mother's side who exerted colonial rule on Yiwu's ancestors. But I still truly deny the conspiracy.
