Those convicted (and based on the photos, I have a hard time imagining they won't be) will be given healthy sentences.

To a culture that has shame killings and cuts off the hands of thieves, "healthy sentences" will look like a slap on the wrist. No recovery from this short of turning the perps over the Arab street mob. And probably not even then.
