What, did you want the US to lose in Iraq? Did you want the critics to be right? Am unclear as to your meaning...

In the end, I think this will be the consensus.

Operation Iraqi Freedom stands as one of the great humanitarian achievements of modern times. For all the Bush administration's mistakes and miscalculations, for all the monumental challenges that remain, Iraq is vastly better off today than it was before the war.
