Nat,

What stuns me about the Right Wing a-holes in America is that they see nothing wrong with this. Or, alternately, they are coming up with arrogant excuses, such as the amazing professor interviewed on NPR's Sunday All Things Considered tonight who stated that these weren't war crimes, since the prisoners were arrested after the declared end of major operations. Then this jerk went on to say that no U.S. jurisdiction would involve itself, and that Iraqi law, such as it is today, would be the basis for the prosecution of any U.S. military or mercenary implicated in these crimes. Listening to this a-hole was like reading Joseph Heller's Catch-22. It was a bravura performance of passing the buck and making sure no one was responsible for the atrocities. Disgusting that we have whores in our colleges willing to be so evil and so damned slick at being immoral monsters.
