President George W. Bush runs with U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Michael McNaughton, of Denham Springs, La., on the South Lawn of the White House Wednesday, April 14, 2004. The two met January 17, 2003, at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (photo below, with Mrs. Bush), where SSgt. McNaughton was recovering from wounds sustained in Afghanistan on January 9, 2003. The President then wished SSgt. McNaughton a speedy recovery so that they might run together in the future.

CONCORD, Mass. --Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry took a spill from his bicycle while riding Sunday afternoon but was not injured, a campaign official said.

Kerry was riding with Secret Service agents through Concord, about 18 miles north of Boston, when his bike hit a patch of sand and he fell, campaign officials said.
