Zell Miller was a supporter and admirer of segregationist governor Lester Maddox. Like I said, he is the last remaining dixiecrat, whose views echoed George Wallace, Lester Maddox, Strom Thurmond and Jesse Helms. He is a senile old dinosaur who represents only the last vestiges of the old confederacy. A wonder he's ever gotten re-elected. Who would vote for this guy besides rightwing racists? Maybe that's his secret, he gets the Republican vote.
