You are much too combative about this for me to want to pursue this.
I ask you to provide some constructive criticism and I'm combative?
IMO, being combative is complaining about the status quo, but offering no alternative solutions.. It's people who act as if they have no stake in finding a strategy to successfully defeat Islamic militancy and to bring democratic reforms to the Mid-East.
I didn't cause this mess, your fearless leader did, and while I do have several constructive ideas, I don't see any point in sharing them with you.
Listen.. I don't care who's in office. If Kerry wins, I'm going to support his every effort to create a viable strategy for rebuilding a stable and democratic Iraq.
Because I feel, apparently in contrast to some others out here, that Iraq HAS TO TRANSEND presidential politics.
We're going to be in Iraq, and the Mid-East in a big way for the next 10-20 years, attempting to create a viable alternative to both the corrupt and inept regimes that currently exist, but also the Islamic militancy that is attempting to impose itself upon muslim culture.
So if you don't want to share your constructive ideas with me, then share them with the rest of the thread..
It's really no fun at all to post to someone who misinterprets every thing I say, AND makes up positions for me I don't hold.
If I have to guess about what you're trying to say, then maybe you're not properly explaining it. You see, I could really care less how we got into this situation, or whether or not we ever find WMDs in Iraq. That's all in the past and it cannot be changed.
What I want to hear about are your solutions to rebuilding a highly dysfunctional society.
Own the problem X.. Because this is not just Bush's problem, it's the problem of the entire western world... And will be for the next couple of decades until the Muslim baby boom has been assimilated.
And I think many of us are getting sick of all the hand-wringing going on.
