A huge effort to mislead the world on Saddam (and 9-11) was made by the Cheney-Bush administration prior to the Iraq invasion. We saw that in this country especially with all the Hannitys and Limbaughs spinning wild stories about how dangerous and evil Saddam was, most of which turned out to be total cockypoop. So why would they not plant stories in foreign newspapers as well? Of course they did, and they do all the time. The CIA probably has a whole division for this kind of thing, and remember it was Cheney who went to Langley several times bullying the CIA to squeeze out anti-Saddam intel and connect him to 9-11. Clarke also writes that right after 9-11 Bush ordered him to connect it to Saddam. The jig is up on the phony Saddam-9/11 connections lie. It was all a big scam. You are one of the last people who still believe it.
