What is really worse than the actual bias of the press in general is their refusal to simply and forthrightly acknowledge it. To me, that is more insulting, damaging, and corrosive than the bias itself, which is pretty transparent in most cases. It's the hubris that attends the bias that is most disturbing, to me.
