Hibbard ignored the doctor's report that he removed shrapnel from the wound in question. But, let's assume he's right and Kerry only earned 2 purple hearts, a bronze star and a silver star. That's nearly as good as a clean slate from a dental exam, right? <G> This is very reminiscent of the crew member from WWII who claimed George H.W. Bush "lost his nerve" as a pilot. I thought #41 handled it well: "I remember him as a nice guy." Classy.
