The original post I used left a wide variance for actual numbers. Silv asked for some back ups. It may be found down the road that Saddam got the jessie james type of treatment (everything bad is blamed on Saddam) ... kind of like you guys are trying to do with Bush... However, one big difference. Saddam was a dictator who actually seemed to take pride in letting the peops know what he (his agents and kids) were capable of if any one opposed him and that he was entitled to take whatever he wanted as a matter of course and regardless of the harm it caused. He wanted full credit (while he was in power). So the actual numbers are really less important than the obvious and undisputed fact that there was intentional massive killing and a great deal of barbarous torture under the thumb of Saddam.
