I have read most of Byrd's speeches leading up to the Iraqi invasion, and admire him for being virtually the only voice of reason, while the rest of the Senate and Congress were effectively silent cowards, and the TV media were busy cheerleading and trying to outdo each other with their own special war logos and music.
