Yeah, that seemed pretty obvious as we went along. Is it possible they didn't realize that the shooting part was the easy part? It is still incomprehensible to me how we could commit to such an undertaking so cavalierly. It's one thing to have to wing it if the other guy controls the schedule, but we went in "at a time of our choosing." It's not as though all of these obstacles were "unknown unknowns," at least to anyone who had his antennae working. I don't expect zero defects, but I don't expect reckless enterprises either. I was just so sick over it. I had suppressed how much so.

But hopefully "ad hoc" will carry the day...
