Forget the troops and forget the correction--damage is done. These are not the soldiers you talk about. These are conscriptees in a very sense sent to iraq without leadership apparently answering to private MI folks who dont have a clue. I always understood what could motivate men in a Mai Lai situation. The hatred, the terror of each day but in a prison assignment in iraq our folks behaved like mini-nazis in WW2. Sure they didnt shoot folks indiscriminately but what they did smacks of some of the (s)exploitation that existed in earlier eras. In the nazi case the higher up gave their approval. In our case our folks, especially that crazed female reserve general, were asleep at the wheel. For guys like you, i feel the worse, guys who give their lives for their country willingly now smeared with this brush. It sucks and i am angry and i want don rumsfeld (who i have great affection for) to go and be replaced by john mccain. More than anything else i want this so bush will win. Dont delude yourself thinking that the country is going to or not going to vote for kerry over shit that happended over 30 years ago. He can win and will win if Bush doesnt do a Lincoln as opposed to a hoover. Mike
