I'd say the waste of money was Bush's $60 million trashing of Kerry to come out behind in the polls. I find Kerry's ads perfect for the undecided voter. I think they'll see Bush spending all his time trashing Kerry, and realize Bush has no accomplishments to run on. Bush is even trashing Kerry personally in his stump speeches. Very unusual for an incumbent, who should be trying to look "Presidential" and "above the fray".
