But they are consistent in the sense that when violence is done by superior force that hits civilian areas--falujah, palestine, sudan, kosovo etc. their bias is toward the guys who take the hit. Its more a pacifist bias than anti-US, israel, sudan or serb, i think. With all the bravado spoken here and elsewhere it still shakes me up to see the consequences of advanced weaponry. I try not to look so i can be stalwart in this war, but not looking is not the answer either. We have reached a certain level of civilized behavior and it impairs our abilities to fight evil folks. Thats why the professional army. But thats also why the BBC and all the pacifist do-gooder opposition.
I have to rethink things in terms of this moral dilemna. Can europe or the US win or even survive if we dont use many aspects of our military power against these thugs. Is there an alternate way? Hell, i dont think so. MIke
