It would seem that burning a civilian village would be a war crime. But what if there were VC in the village? What if the soldiers were told that VC were in the village and to take it out?

Seems little different than shelling Falujah because it is believed that insurgents are hiding there...even though women and children were killed and injured too.

And how different is that from bombing a building or a restaurant because you have intelligence that Saddam is there?

The bombing of Iraq caused 10,000 civilian casualties.

Are any of these war crimes?
