So now you're an expert in faking it, eh?<g>

I suspect many soldiers/airmen/seamen etc. would not
have even applied for Purple Hearts for such minor wounds.
The medals were, however, evidently being given out like
candy as a morale booster, which likely explains a lot.

Kerry thought he was the "next JFK from Massachusetts"
at the time, according to the doctor who treated him
for his first wound (which sounded like removing a sliver).

That tells you a lot about his motivation for requesting the
first Purple Heart.

So, yes, he served.
Yes, he received 3 Purple Hearts, for which he applied.
Yes, he got a "get out of Nam" early card, as a result.
Yes, he received a plum stateside assignment.
Yes, he was released early to pursue an election.
Yes, he went to the forefront of the anti-war movement,
accused servicemen of atrocities, claimed he engaged in
such atrocities, consorted with people who proposed
murder of elected officials, lent his name to a book
displaying an upside down flag and otherwise disrespectful
depiction of soldiers, yes he threw his ribbons and/or
medals (depending on which version you believe) over the
White House fence, yes, he married 2 rich women, and
yes, he's been in the Senate for 19 years, holding the
record for the most money taken from lobbyists.

SO, next time you start whining about Kerry's "war hero"
status and accuse people of "attacking" him, just remember
that he himself treated his own military service with
disrespect by his VVAW-related activities.

Having done so, he can't hide behind some mantle of
righteousness to avoid scrutiny.

Or apply for a Purple Heart because he's been
wounded in "this" campaign.
