I do not see the 'no indictment' phrase in his post. I do not even see it indirectly hinted at either. What happened in other wars is certainly not an excuse but I don't think that was Laz's point in bringing it up. Like your suggestion, 'Rapes happen' in New York City, and that doesn't make Rapes OK, just a fact of life that heinous crimes will be present for huge populations clustered together. Likewise, in a large violent conflict crimes have and will continue to occur. Even in supposedly friendly competition like Hockey, people cross that line; and it is predictable that it will happen in the future. That is not an indictment against sports. Criminal warriors is not an indictment against the Military or the Administration. Its off target to throw that dart. That doesn't mean the perps and those who led or encouraged them should not be indicted. I see no evidence that Laz wanted them excused either. Next you will be calling the perps 'victims' of Bushes Admin and the Military. Should we have a bake sale to pay for their treatment? <sarcasm>
