"majority of the public actually favors a withdrawal from Gaza" Yet the PA will send suicide bombers to those very people in cafes and shopping bazaars, no wonder there's been an evaporation of support for peace now.

Hamas continues to raise hell because the Israelis are willing to give the chuck roast [Gaza] to the Palestinians and keep the lobster[West Bank] for themselves. Only a fool would take such a deal.....particularly when Gaza and the WB were both promised to the Palestinians by the UN.

When Prime Minister Ariel Sharon reached the proper conclusion and presented the public with a disengagement plan"

Yet the level of terror escalated, how does that help?

Like I said, its a no brainer.

Terrorism galvanizes the Israelis.

And getting screwed by the Israelis galvanizes the Palestinians.

How come no PA leader said, yes great get out of gaza and hey to show that we're happy with the move we'll not send retarded child suicide bombers or other long-suffering teenagers your way for a couple of weeks.

Hey......if you would buy off on Sharon's proposal, I would call you a fool. And the ultimate irony is that even with an offer than favors Israel, the Likud still was not happy. They want both Gaza and the WB for Israel. Their hubris is unbelievable!
