I have never stated that the administration was given precise information about the exact 9/11 attack. Implied in that is that they did not perform the attack themselves.

Took awhile but I'm glad you finally admit that the administration had no advanced knowledge and certainly did not want 9/11 to occur.

The administration may have provoked and wanted a war with Saddam, which is basically what the rest of your post says.

I don't disagree with that but feel that Saddam bluffed his way into the war by convincing the world that he actually had WMD.

You also suggest that the administration consciously looked the other way so that they would not stop a terrorist attack. AGAIN ON THIS ONE, THERE IS NOT ONE SHREAD OF EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THIS STATEMENT. Incompetence, similar to other administrations, as well as lack of communication and systems analysis in the "intelligence" bureaucracies, but that's not what you are claiming.

Again, I'm not defending the Bush administration but just trying to call to your attention that these whacky conspiracy theories really don't do anything to change either policy, procedure or administrations.
