I have to run out Mike, but I wanted to comment first.

i dont think what happened in 1968 is worth looking at for a Presidential candidate today

I think what happened in any period of time is important whether it's 1968 or 1768. As a nation, we have always looked back and relied on history and past events to guide us. IMO it is very important to recognize, understand and rely on what happened in the past in order to do what is best for our nation's future.

Kerry's history is as important as any presidential candidates history. Some people believe that he played a major role in shaping a part of American history. It is only natural and self serving that we rediscover and analyze our past in order to avoid any mistakes in the future.

Like I said in an earlier post... I'm angry and confused...especially about John Kerry's Winter Soldier testimony and the affect it had on our nation, and I want the truth.

I don't know.......maybe I'm all wrong. Perhaps some of the more astute historians on this board could add something relevant regarding this issue?
