The perpetrators of these crimes violated both military and international law. The treaties which the US becomes party to become part of US federal law. The soldiers involved in these actions can and according to the President will be prosecuted under military law. Any civilians involved will be tried in federal civil courts and be sentenced by them.

US soldiers are required by military law to refuse to obey illegal orders which the orders for these actions would be be. It makes no difference whether those orders came from higher military authorities or civilians.

If a Cabinet officer of the POTUS or vice POTUS issued such orders, they would be subject to impeachment, conviction, and indictment and trial in civil courts after removal from office.

A "rape is OK because it happens every day" argument on your part is simply an illustration of your desperation to construct an argument out of nothing.

AT NO TIME did I say or imply that the actions were "OK". They are in fact clearly criminal and should be punished as such. The POTUS has completely condemned these actions and called for the punishment of the guilty.

In Vietnam, in the Mylai incident, the US indicted and tried its own soldiers for war crimes. Name me ONE OTHER nation that has ever tried its own soldiers for crimes committed in prosecuting one of its wars.
