I think an apology would be against OUR principles. It would be unconscionable for the CIC to prematurely (before court martial) declare the truth of the matter, when in fact it has not been established. Police Chiefs are often under the same duress when officers are accused of wrong-doing. Video or no it is not the kosher thing to do and every lawyer on this site would tell you the same.
