The idea that one can simultaneously implement* multiple, mutually exclusive plans is silly. Contingent planning (development of Plan B's, C's,..) is one thing but "moving forward ASAP" on the ground is another. To be more specific you couldn't organize a coalition if the would-be parties to the coalition see that you're also recruiting a new dictator and also drawing new boundary lines. * I would be moving forward ASAP* on options two and three, and praying for option one..* Also silly is the vain-glorious stroking of one's ego: ..but alas, all people like me get is hostility aimed at them for being right. .... in 1999 I posted that I thought the market might be taken down by a large terrorist event (I'd actually forgotten I posted that, but someone posted it to me, and told me how prescient that post was, considering what happened.) At the time I was suggesting people buy MAGSF, .... I reasoned that there would be more events with planes.. ... and I was right about that too .....
