Yes Bush did go AWOL and lied about it. awolbush.com read it then say that with a straight face.

Not a single person can account for Bush in Alabama reporting for duty despite an open $15,000 reward for any takers. Bush has sudden memory loss when asked about it. All he can say is "he must have reported" or some such thing. Just an obvious BS artist. The rumor of the cocaine arrest makes the most sense as to why he disappeared without a trace for 7 months.
