Really. We're supposed to go to the UN? That would be the UN that administered the oil-for-fraud kickback program, that is now stonewalling the investigation, that ran away from Iraq when they got bombed, and that just seated Sudan on the Human Rights Committee - that's who we're supposed to go to regain our honor? That UN isn't held in very high regard by Iraqis, as none of Tom's friends seem able to notice. At this point, I care much more what Iraqis think of us. The French elite, like Al Jazeera is a lost cause. They rooted for our failure from day one.
