The simple answer is I don't have a router nor do I know how to hook one up if I had one and to top it off I don't really have room for one if I had the money to buy one which I don't.

I thought I could hook the modem up on her computer and put a split on the phone line and run both modems to the single DSL line. But according to one poster here I can't do it.
