Aha! The magic word. Intifada. Yes. Intifada is an Arabic word which means "shaking off". I do not recall Israel issuing an Intifada, do you???? No, Israel is the one occupying Palestinian land. Therefore, the Palestinians are the ones who must "shake off" their oppressor. Both the 1987 Intifada and the 2000 Intifada began as campaigns of non-violent civil disobedience. Both times, Israel reacted with violence. You reap what you sow. Tom
