I would rather call it as a Fact. Pay attention, I said the origin, not the current language itself.

"Historical linguistics" ? 70% of Japanese language before 1940s were consisted of Chinese characters. So they can say all they want, still cannot changed the historical fact. That is all I want say.

You are joking right? I am talking about the Japanese published books and newspaper before 1940s within the border of Japan. I am not talking about modern Japanese, nor do I care. Language is NOT static, it develops along with the society and economy.

And I did learn 1.5 years of Japanese in college, so I am not entirely clueless about Japanese.

Enough said.
