But when a wise ass screws up his enemies dance around the fire. Its like the tv show survivor. He should be voted off the island for the sake of the tribe. I wasn't suggesting that Rummy screwed up. That's not particularly relevant to my point about firing him. My point is that if firing him sends a message that gets us back on track, then he should be sacrificed. Doesn't matter whether he deserves it or not. Hara kira is an alternative. Do you watch the TV drama, 24? A terrorist have biological weapons about to be triggered in a dozen cities killing many millions of people. The terrorist demands the body of the head of the Counter Terrorism Unit, the president approves it, and our hero executes the guy to buy time to stop the plot. I was very struck by it. In movies, the hero always finds a way out. Not this time.
