I actually bought some today for my wife's IRA, and she is ultraconservative in that account. Difficult to believe the lady has $400,000 in legal fees and the settlement was only $200,000 or so. Typically, lawyers would work on such a case on contingency like 30% to 50%, it was an arbitration case, no appearance before a court, no way the fees associated with HAUP were that large (could be she has other legal problems with the estate that needed to be settled). In any event, she is no longer associated with the company and I would not be surprised to see more of her and the estate shares come out.
