"I don't. But I do have common sense. Attacking and torturing a people can make them get angry at you."

How is it that you always convolute the big picture.

America is not attacking and torturing Iraq and its people. The place is very diverse. Some of the factions don't want a free Iraq. In fact even some opposing factions do not want a free Iraq. They want an Iraq that is under the control of their particular sub-faction. So, there is violent opposition from <<<some>>> militant sub-factions (Not THE IRAQIS).

America, for the moment, is still holding the lid on the kettle; which is the only thing keeping the various contenders for power from committing one humungus blood bath, to be followed by some new dictatorial form of government. The goal is to create a form of government that offers autonomy to the one and the many, rather than allow a few to oppress the many as in the past.

Its a worthy cause but obviously it does not come without a price.
