I said of the Israeli lobby that "It's just one of the many lobbying outfits". I agree with you with regards to the Saudi lobby.....Prince Bandar considers himself one of the Bush family and he was actually told about the Iraqi invasion date before our own Secretary of State for the love of God! The Bin Laden family were being flown all over the country on Sept. 12 for their protection while everyone else was grounded.....you're damn right that's some influence (something I find very wrong also) but that's not the point being made!! Your defensiveness of anything that criticises Israel comes across to me that Israel can do no wrong in your eyes. It weakens your argument IMO. It's alright to admit that the Israeli lobby has a very strong influence in Washington because guess what....IT DOES! It seems to me that when arguing the pros and cons of anything to do with Israel you almost have to walk on eggshells because the old anti-semitic card gets tossed around willy-nilly. If I talked about the Jewish world and mindset the way you talk about the Arab world and mindset Nadine I'd be banished from here in a heartbeat. Have your say and I'll leave it at that...... MON.
