tool_dude, GTEL is ready to grow new fangs. After a two month drop from it's high in Feb, everything looking to fall into place. Don't want to hear anymore of the woulda, coulda, shoulda, now is the time.

With the Australians wanting a piece of the action, GTEL may be at a new starting point for a major run to new highs!. A major test of the Stratellites is planned for May 17 and the first quarter results are due about the same time. All my DD says the quarterly results will be the first leg of positive results not seen by this company ever, with the rest of the year gearing up for major revenue producing results!

3. The most way-out idea I've heard is Sanswire, an American company recently taken over by another small US telco named GlobeTel. In a few days a group of Australians, led by the former CEO of Telstra subsidiary Sensis (then Pacific Access), Bob Johnson, will announce they have bought the Australian rights to the Sanswire wireless technology.

The Sanswire idea is to run the system from the sky - specifically from "Stratellites" that float 25 kilometres up.

They're actually airships that fly under their own steam. Having got into position, the trick is to keep them steady with little motors and propellers. It works in theory, and in two weeks one will be sent up above Atlanta, Georgia, to see if it works in practice.

One Stratellite will cover a radius of 200km and provide a high-speed broadband connection to everyone in that area. Johnson wouldn't tell me how much each one costs, except that it's cheaper than a network of towers.

These are just three of hundreds of entrepreneurs who are busily setting up wireless networks all over the world.

There is so much activity going in it's frightening - for Telstra shareholders, that is.

The main man with all the DD is Rock301 from the GTEL

The company has started it's PR campaign as stated in the letter to shareholders on April 5:

Oh, and one last thing, did I mention volume has jumped up these past two day. Maybe, just maybe, the Aussies may be putting money into the stock.
