You can bet the farm that if those pictures hadn't see the light of day that the military would never have gone public with sexual abuse of Iraqi prisoners.

It will discourage that type of behavior in the future, it will make seniors more aware that they are responsible for the actions of their juniors, it will make the ME and the world aware that that the US does not condone torture.

I know you just want it to go away because it reflects badly on the administration.
