I find your claim of "common sense" amusing given the fact the you think that Bush lied about WMD's in Iraq. I also find it interesting that you are classifying this latest incident in Iraq as torture. Humiliation, perhaps, but not torture. I also find it interesting that you remained silent when the charred bodies of Americans were dragged through the streets by Islamic terrorists. You really need to have some perspective here.

You close with:
It doesn't make you any safer. Just look at the terror alert signal. It is still at "elevated" levels. Or is it there just to keep us all scared?

All I know is that 100's if not thousands of terrorist attacks have been foiled. I also know that the US has NOT experienced another attack since 9/11. So, yes I do feel safer because we have a leader in the White House that is concerned for my safety.
