And I'm still outraged by the infamous "Anti-France" campaign by this admin.

The admin. was anti-Chrirac and his former foreign minister. It is the American right that turned against French people.

But there is a deep underlying hostility towards the French in the US. I have never been to France but my family name is French and, while I am still working on the genealogy, a lot of my ancestors are French. So I tend to discount hostility towards the French.

One thing that turns off the American middle class is body odor, and it is said that the French do not bathe often enough nor use deodorant. That is a very grave shortcoming in the US, only the lower classes have stinky armpits, feet, breath, bottoms and genitals.

My experiences with properly ripened French cheese makes me give credence to this criticism. I thought I knew what brie and camembert tasted like because I bought mine at American-style cheese shops. When I finally tasted cheeses ripened as they are preferred in France, I had to spit them out and the aftertaste made me gag. It reminded me of dirty bathrooms. I do like French cheese but will eat it American style.

Modern day Frence cinema is dreadful and modern day French music is worse. I prefer California wine. But the movie stars are beautiful. I will always love Gerard Depardieu.
