That was a silly post. Kerry doesn't pretend anything. He is all those things, except French. He is part Irish, Scottish and Austrian (Jewish probably). He is a jock and a hero and everything else. He just is. Deal with it.

The poseur is Bush landing on that aircraft carrier pretending to be a real pilot and lying about reporting for duty in 1972 when everyone knows he's a total phony. Bush is also posing as a heartland guy when he's the biggest Yankee blue blood in Texas, Andover-Harvard-Yale and only in Texas because his dad decided to get rich in the oil business.

The Bushes are pure New England old money. Bush has never ranched or cowboyed or even risked a scraped knee. He just wears the boots and buckle. He also puts on a drawl when he campaigns down there which mysteriously goes away when he leaves. It's all for show. He does love Texas, but mainly ebcuse of all the money the oil and gas business gives him. And I mean GIVES him. He never earned any of it.
