The only cheese I can remember eating during Paris trips is the stuff on Croques-Monsieurs or on the French bread that we would pick up for lunches because it was cheap and the boys would eat it. It was pretty mild.
It was a canal barge trip and it was one of the most relaxing vacations I've ever had. You can get out at one lock, walk along the canal and get picked up at the next lock. We stopped at small villages and played boules in the little squares and visited wineries all along the way. We had a chef, Fabrice, who was just wonderful (except for that sausage). Burgundy is beautiful country- we did a hot air balloon ride at sunset that was breathtaking but sadly my batteries died in the camera and all I have is one picture of a cloud.
If you ever have a chance to take one, you would love it all-- the relaxed pace, the castles and history, the wine and the food! Skip the sausage.
