That story was covered up in 2000, remember? Larry Flynt hired the private eyes to get sex dirt on top Republicans after the Whitewater-Monica scandal. Flynt wanted to show up the rightwingers as hypocrites and boy did he score.

He forced Speaker Livingston to resign rather than be outed, then was on CNN discussing one of the actual girls who had spoken to them about Bush paying her to get an abortion but Wolf Blitzer censored it.

Later, Flynt said the girl was terrified to talk again and was either paid off or threatened to keep quiet. This fits with what happened to the writer who was about to publish the book about where Bush really was in 1972, in rehab after a cocaine arrest.

If you believe the rumor mill, GW was pretty wild in the 70's. A cocaine bust and two abortions. As a disclaimer though, that was nothing unusual in those days. I hung out with the rich pretty Harvard-Yale crowd myself and we all did recreational drugs, even conservative Republicans. Bush was a booze and coke guy. Most of prefered grass.
There were quite a few girls who weren't on the pill got abortions. Very few people used condoms in those days.
Therefore if this is all true about Bush he was pretty normal.
