It's back to the millennia-old rule of the priesthood by superstition, brutality and fear, and all the horrors that entails.
Bingo!!! Believe me, if it were the Catholic church trying to wage "crusade" and re-establish predominent rule over various secular governments, I'd be JUST AS OPPOSED.
I really like our current seculor system of government.. Because it protects ALL religions and forces them to carry our their religious struggles for the souls of humanity in a peaceful and spiritual manner, NOT through violence, intimidation, and intolerance.
And I have little doubt that Islamo-Fascism will fail, OVER THE LONG RUN.. But I would rather AVOID the millions of deaths and economic ruin that might result if we permit it to gain control over the major oil fields and millions of young people who live in the Mid-East.
However, there's no need to exacerbate the situation. Rather than invading Iran, Pakistan, Indonesia and so on, to get rid of the mullahs and mania, it's better to defend the homeland and keep Islam in its own zone.
But isn't that just it Maurice? 9/11 showed CLEARLY to me, and should have for everyone, that targeting the US is a primary goal of these Jihadists... Hell, we gave them every reason to believe that we wouldn't respond because we failed to do so in previous attacks against our people, facilities, and interests.
And now that they know we're vulnerable, can you imagine some of Saddam's WMD scientists falling under the control of the Islamists and forced to work on everything Saddam was trying to achieve?
And do you think they would hesitate for one second to use that weaponry against us since they figure Allah was going to protect them from the weak and reclusive United States??
We cannot apply our own logic to the strategies and thinking of these people anymore than we can expect to catch serial killers through conventional investigative methodologies..
They think differently than we do.. They believe they are destined by Allah himself to wage Jihad and resume the spread of Islam by the sword throughout the world.
And we'd better clue in on that, or we're going to pay a far higher price in the near future.
